The European Strategic Cluster Partnership alliance on Personalised Healthcare, bioXclusters plus, which joins together four leading European Bio Clusters – Biocat, BioM, BioPmed and Lyonbiopole – is pleased to invite European SMEs based in its regions to join its mission to Japan. This mission has been organised in the framework of BioJapan (Oct. 12 to 14, 2016).
The mission is organised in cooperation with the EU-Japan Centre, that offers a “Biotech Cluster SME Mission” from Oct 10th to 14th 2016. European Clusters and SMEs that are not partners of the bioXclusters plus alliance (for further details, contact the bioXclusters plus‘ regional contacts) but wish to join this mission are invited to apply through the EU-Japan Centre (deadline for submission: June 9th, 2016). The provisional mission program is:
- Sunday Oct 9th : Arrival in Osaka – Japan
- Monday Oct. 10th: Workshop about Japanese life science market and regulation in the morning – organized in collaboration with EU Japan Centre – and Cultural Visit in the afternoon.
- Tuesday Oct. 11th: Participation in the 1-day “European Biotech & Pharma Partnering Conference” at Senri-Life Science Center in Osaka (organized in collaboration with Osaka Bio Headquarters and EU Japan Centre); transfer to Yokohama in the evening
- From Oct. 12th to 14th: Participation at BioJapan 2016 (Yokohama).
Highlight: on Tuesday Oct. 11th: Free participation in the one-day “European Biotech & Pharma Partnering Conference” at Senri-Life Science Center in Osaka with pre-arranged B-2-B meetings with companies from the Kansai region – in cooperation with Osaka Bio Headquarters.
Through support from the European Commission and the Osaka Bio Headquarters, participation in the Osaka conference is free of charge for European SMEs that form part of the bioXclusters plus or the EU-Japan Centre delegations.
The European Biotech & Pharma Partnering Conference in Osaka event will include expert presentations in the morning on business opportunities for European companies in the Kansai region. In the afternoon, there will be pre-arranged 1-on-1 partnering meetings between the European and Japanese participants. In order to ensure fruitful meetings, European cluster managers are asked to send short profiles of their participating companies during the month of June, at the very latest by July 15th, 2016. Osaka Bio Headquarters will select and invite relevant companies and business contacts in their region for each European participant. Please note that 1-on-1 partnering places are limited.
